Sonics monster hunters part 4

The battle continued to rage. Sonic was using his speed to tire the ioprey out and then quickly double back for a surprise attack. Amy was backed against a wall fending them off with her hammer. Cream and ice were on top of a building knocking any that came up off again. Reya was in the centre darting around slashing them with her claws and maverick was running amok on the back of one he had got his blade stuck in. soon sonic noticed a small grey rabbit trapped in a corner by an ioprey. He went up to it and tapped it on the back. As it turned around he hit it in the face. He bent down next to the rabbit.

Sonic: are you alright?
She nodded.
Sonics: what’s your name?
Petit: I’m petit.
Sonic: come on then petit. Let’s get you some where safe.

As they fought their way though one of the ioprey jumped at her. Suddenly all the teeth from a nearby dead one came out and flew into the live on pinning it to a wall. They kept going. As soon as she was safe he went back. Soon he came across another 2 fighters. One was a brown hedgehog wearing a purple dress and skirt, balancing on the central fountain and throwing water balls at the ioprey. The other was a brown rabbit wearing a black suit of leather armour. She was just fighting normally. Sonic shouted at the hedgehog.

Sonic: aquaria. You’re a show off.
This was met by a water ball in his direction.
Sonic: alright. I’ll shut up. Sandy how you doing?
Sandy: I can feel it. It draws near.
Sonic: whatever.

After a while a sort of dull yellow mist started to cover the town. As it appeared the ioprey disappeared and their place was taken by an enormous plant on the edges of the town. Soon the whole town was covered in thick vines. The group took 10 minutes to regroup in the centre of town. After checking they were all alright they went to investigate the plant. However as they moved towards it the vines around them started to move and wrap around constricting all of them except sonic and Amy. The only ones who weren’t being crushed were petit and Reya who had created force fields to protect them. But even they were struggling. As they fought to free their friends sonic and Amy started to tire.

Soon the mist also started to thicken around them. There was a sudden flash of light and the pair of them turned super form. They mist continued to thicken. There was another bright flash and they felt the power surge though them as they turned hyper form. Soon it happened again and this time they went solar. As the mist cleared the real world melted away around them. They were in a plane of darkness as far as the eye could see. The plant thing lost its grip on everyone and they all went solar form as well. The dark split and sunlight started to flood though. The group put their hands in each others and the light began to get hotter until the plant evaporated into the sky.

The group returned to normal and huddled together. After an hour no sign of escape appeared. Soon petit started to cry. Maverick put his arms around her to comfort her.

Maverick: now what do we do?
Sonic: we live in hope.
As he said “hope” a hole in the ground appeared before. Though it they could see the town. They all jumped though and were given a hero’s welcome by the survivors.

2 years later

Sonic and Amy stood in front of the house. Together with their friends and the remaining townspeople they had rebuilt the town better than before. However the monster attacks had become more frequent. Because of this they had formed 2 rival groups, though they still remained firm lovers. And they planned to stay that way forever.
